This has been quite the journey with Sarah and her hearing. And we couldn't feel happier about it ending! If you have no idea what I am talking about you can get caught up here, here, here, and here.
Rereading these posts from when she was younger brought back so many emotions. It has taken us a long time to get a plan in place mostly because the older she got the more I never even thought about. Sarah will talk all day long and it was pretty obvious that she can hear (even though her three-year-old self might lead you to believe otherwise!).
We knew we wanted to get a definite answer though especially if we needed to do any more intervention with her. We finally got her into the most amazing place and she passed all of the tests with flying colors! The doctor was so good with her and Sarah enjoyed all of the "games" they played. The pediatric audiologist said that she had no concerns with Sarah's hearing and we couldn't be more thrilled. And FINALLY after three years we have an answer - she can hear completely - WOOT WOOT!
| To celebrate, she wanted "pink ice cream", of course! |
