Harvest

I love fall!  I LOVE IT!!!

This weekend proved to be extremely stressful, frustrating, uggg...I don't even want to think about it.  But luckily, we were able to have some much needed GOOD in the mix of all of our stress.  

Since, Mark didn't get my birthday off, they gave him Friday off, and we TOOK it!  We headed down to Logan and looked at some samples for the exterior of our home that we are building - productive!  We were then planning on heading over to the American West Heritage Center for some harvest fun but it turns out they don't open until 3:00 on Friday.  So we had four hours to kill!

The kiddos were so good and we had a great, unexpected day in Logan.  We were able to get some things that just never seem to get done because we have other things to do, and snuck in some fun too.  We spent a lot of time at Petco looking at their fish!

Once three o'clock rolled around we headed over to the AWHC.  We couldn't have asked for better weather, it was crisp but sunny - PERFECT!  

We started off by riding the "Spooky Train".

Next, was the pony rides.  Sarah was too small last time we went and was unbelievably excited to ride this time!  Jacob was riding a pony behind her and was calling out to her and waving and she turned around and was so excited to see him.  I perfectly captured it and was SO happy!

All of the other kids were very quiet while riding their ponies - except Sarah!  She was saying, "GIDDY-UP", "THIS IS FUN!!!", and "YEE-HAW!" over and over.  She was having a grand ole' time.  She almost slipped off four times but she was completely oblivious to it all.  We love our girl.

  

Next we headed to the corn maze.  Jacob and Mark led the way and we never got lost once!  Benjamin was an angel and snoozed the whole time we were there. 

Next, we played some games that they had set up and ended with the "Spooky Train" again.  This time the kiddos rode in the caboose which was so cute!

As we were leaving we stopped at their "pumpkin patch" and picked out our pumpkins.  I am a bit of a pumpkin patch snob so was a little disappointed we couldn't go and pick out our pumpkins from the actual patch, but they had a bunch of pumpkins in an area that you could pick out so all is well.  Maybe some day we will have our own pumpkin patch!

It was a great day - and much needed - we love this time of year!
